FAQs

Website Delivery Questions:

1. How long will it take to get my site up?

We answer this question by saying “we can move as fast as you can – so get us your content and collateral and we can literally launch your basic site in a day or two – 99/100 times we will wait on you to get your site built.” No matter whether you buy a basic or semi custom or custom website from us, we build and deliver our sites on a first in first served basis starting first with payment then with collateral/content fulfillment. We want your collateral within 5 days of your order to keep you in our production schedule with priority. If don’t get your information within this 5 day period, we will move other orders who are ready with collateral ahead of yours to get built. In other words, once you pay us to setup a site we want your collateral for the site as soon as possible. Once we get your collateral/content we can put your site up in a day or two depending on our workload. In general, we shoot to have our basic sites launched within 5 days of receiving all that we need from you. Our semi-custom and custom sites take a longer period of time given the specifics of the site.

2. What is in included in the basic website setup?

Please see refer to our pricing page.

3. Do I own my site?

No, you do not own the site. You own the domain name (the “name.com”), but ownership of the site is with iFoundAgent.com. Here’s how we work things if you want to cancel: We will give you the website for free if you decide to move your site to another WordPress hosting company. You will get your theme, WordPress database and content but the images are owned by iFoundAgent.com and you will need to replace them. You will also need to get another IDX if you wish to continue to have property searches on the website. Within the first 6 months of your launch date we charge you a $250 transfer fee and $100 after 6 months. In exchange for paying this transfer fee to us we will package up your site in a way that you or someone can move it (you will need an experienced WordPress developer to help you – for example – GoDaddy customer service reps can’t help you do this step)..

4. What if I want extra design can I do that?

Yes, our basic designs can be modified to reflect changes to separate you out from other customers using our system. Some changes are very easy and are part of the normal setup process, however some changes may require additional charges to cover our time for implementing your requests. Most items can be covered with one of our Enhanced Services packages.

5. What happens when my site is finished?

When your site is finished you will be emailed a log-in location for your website and a user name and password. The log-in link will look something like this: http://websiteaddress.com/wp-admin once you arrive at that location in your browser you’ll want to enter your username and password that we gave you. Please don’t change your password. You need to have a strong password to prevent a hacker from hi-jacking your website, or spamming you. If you do change it, please let us know so we can make a change to our records in case you need it again. Also, when you change your password, it can limit us in our ability to do our technology updates on your website (which is part of what you pay us to do on a monthly basis).

6. Can I host my website somewhere else, or use your theme in my own hosting account?

Yes you can get a free website from us and host it somewhere else. We charge the transfer fee of $250 to set your free site up in your hosting account.

7. What about after my website is built, do you offer training and support?

Yes, we do offer training. One of the major reasons why WordPress was developed was to give website owners power over their websites/blogs without having to pay a website programmer a lot of money to setup and maintain a site. WordPress is easy to use once you get the hang of it. We provide video, live classroom, and webinar training for our clients. We also teach classes in some locations where we have staffing on the ground at local business locations. We love webinars because it allows everyone to stay in their own location without having to pay for gas and fight traffic. On the support side – we like to say we provide “lite” support – something like 15 minutes a month. What this will include are things like: “hey, I can’t remember how to upload a picture, can you show me how?” or “can you show me how to add a page to my menu? I don’t remember.” or “can you check my blog post to see if I’m doing it right – like am I writing to the right audience and will it get found in the search engines?” What we don’t do for “lite” support is spend hours working on your site or training you outside of our normal training opportunities. If you need additional assistance we have some tech support packages we can sell you.

8. Can I buy additional support or training if I need it?

Yes, we offer additional training and tech support packages.

9. Who is responsible for servicing, installing and maintaining Third Party CRM and Email Programs?

If you use a third party CRM or email program like Top Producer, Mailchimp, Realty Juggler, aWeber or etc, you are responsible for the installation and maintenance of these programs. We may be able to offer installation on some of the programs at an additional charge. All customer service regarding these additional software should be directed to that company directly. Please check the “How To” tab on the iFoundAgent.com website for how to videos on how to make connections third party applications. Please understand that there are hundreds of programs available on the market. We try to offer information on as many as the top real estate applications as possible..

IDX Questions:

1. Can I use a different IDX provider?

Yes, you can use a different IDX provider, however we will charge you a $149 setup fee to install it. You will be responsible for paying the respective IDX company their fees associated with their service. We will charge you $49 for Hosting/Training/Support. Additional setup fees may apply given the complexity of the setup process and to the extent that you want it implemented. Additional monthly fees may apply depending on if you need us to support managing your chosen IDX on your site.

2. Can I install your GetFoundIDX on my site if it’s hosted somewhere else?

No, we must host your website to use our IDX.

3.What is an indexable IDX?

Indexable IDX stands for Indexable (can be seen by Google and the other search engines) and IDX stands for Internet Data Exchange (in real estate this is the MLS – Multiple Listing Service). We have our own indexable IDX that we call the GetFoundIDX. We put it on your real estate agent site to give you the ability display 1000’s of MLS listings from your local MLS in a way that search engines can “see”. The difference between a real estate website with an Indexable IDX and one that doesn’t could look like website A having 5000 pages findable in Google versus website B having 25 pages findable in Google.

4. Do I need an indexable IDX?

Our answer is yes given we have our own indexable IDX. We say, “a real estate website without an indexable IDX is like a car without tires. You can still move the car without tires, you just can’t effectively drive the car. You can build your website without an IDX, but you’ll have a much harder time getting it found without an indexable IDX – and getting found is one big goal of having a website.

WordPress Related Questions:

1. Is this WordPress?

Yes, we only use WordPress for our Websites.

2. Are these template sites?

Well, technically no. WordPress uses themes. Themes can determine designs, layout and functionality. Within the WordPress community worldwide that probably 100,000’s of themes available – we only work with a few tried and tested themes for our websites. Not all themes are created equal. We start with a basic theme and mold it into what we offer for you to purchase. Our designs and functionality come from we know from our own experiences and from our customers’ experiences.

3. What is the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org?

WordPress.com is the place where you can get a “free” WordPress website/blog. There are a lot of restrictions with what you can do with your website/blog on WordPress.com – namely you will not be able to install any IDX plugins which means you won’t be able to display property listings from your local MLS. Also, you won’t be able to get rid of the advertising that WordPress.com inserts into your website/blog unless you pay them money. You won’t be able to use your own domain name to brand yourself unless you pay them a fee. Lastly, you most likely won’t be able to install a custom theme representative of your company’s branding or your own unless you pay some fee – and even then you are highly restricted in what you can do. WordPress.org is a place where you can download a copy of the whole WordPress software package such that you can install it on your own server or a server that you host somewhere. The challenge with this option is that you have to know what you are doing for design and setup to get your website/blog to function and look attractive. There are many hosting companies like Hostgator and BlueHost where you can open up a hosting account and with the click of a few buttons can launch a plain Jane WordPress website/blog. But don’t count on those companies to help you set it up. They are very clear – they don’t support website design or setup – you are on your own. The power here though with using a service like these or our company is that you have a lot more control over your website.

4. Isn’t WordPress free why are you charging for WordPress?

Yes, The website is free and WordPress is free – however…like anything, you have to know what you are doing with WordPress to get it set up and to work for you and to be designed in a way that it represents you and your business. Please refer to item #3 above for more discussion on WordPress.com and .org. Essentially, you pay a WordPress development company such as us to eliminate the learning curve in setting it up. You wont have to face building and designing a WordPress website/blog on your own.

5. Who uses WordPress?

Internationally somewhere around 15% of the world’s are built with WordPress. Nationally here in the US, approximately 24% of all websites are powered by WordPress. In addition to smart tech savvy business owners, major brands are using WordPress. These brands include: Pepsi, Coke, Paypal, Mozilla Firefox, Harvard, US Army, Ebay, Yahoo, Spotify, CBS Interactive, Forbes, Reuters, UPS, Volkswagon, FORD, Wallstreet Journal, SONY, People Magazine, Samsung, Playstation, NY Times, CNN, Flickr, Ben & Jerry, and GE to name a few. And why not, WordPress makes content management a snap, it is very easy to make changes to the layout and menus, it’s easy to add pictures and embed video, and a whole lot more.

6. What is your WordPress Plugin Policy

We have installed WordPress plugins that should cover everything our client WordPress websites would need. Because of the varying quality and the sheer number of WordPress plugins, we cannot install every plugin out there. Every WordPress plugin we install is tested to make sure it doesn’t conflict with our themes and other installed plugins, as well as its effect on the speed of the website. Too many plugins can cause a website to respond slowly. If you have a request for a plugin, please let us know and we can test it with our system. If there are no conflicts and it doesn’t affect the speed of the website, we will install it. If in the future, there are updates that do cause a conflict, we will need to remove the plugin..

Account and Billing:

1. Do you have annual contracts?

No we don’t. We recognize that business, the economy, and people change. Our contracts are month to month. The only thing that looks like a contract beyond month to month is our policy about moving your site to another WordPress hosting company (see item #3 above). You are free to cancel your account with us at any time. If you cancel within the first 30 days of your launch date we refund 90% of the setup fee. We keep 10% to cover the time we’ve paid one or more of our staff to work on your website to get your site launched. If you cancel before your site is launched we will refund 100% of your setup fee.

2. What is the difference between cancelling my account and transferring my account?

Cancelling your account means that you wish to have us terminate your website, your IDX service, and stop charging your credit card monthly fees for our services. Cancelling also means that before your website is launched you decide to go with another service provider and you give us notice via email or phone to cancel your account. Transferring means that you want us to give you zipped files of your free website and database (you need both to move/transfer your site to a new WordPress hosting account) either for you to move or for us to move on your behalf. We charge a transfer fee in either case (see item 1 above). Once your account has been transferred and you are no longer using our services for hosting and/or IDX we will terminate your account on our system and stop charging you for monthly fees.

3. Can I get a refund if I transfer my account?

We will not issue a refund of your setup service fee or any other fees in the event that you transfer your site from our control. If you transfer your site it is considered that you have received services.

4. Can I get a refund on my monthly fees?

If you terminate or transfer your account within 5 days of your billing cycle renewal date yes. If not, no.

5. When does my monthly billing start?

Your monthly billing will start automatically 14 days after you fill out the Get Started form that gets your website started with us. Your responsibility is to get your information, photos, logos, searches, collateral and social media links to us as quickly as possible. It takes us only 48-72 hours to get your site launched when we have everything from you. Complete information can be achieved if the Get Started form is filled out accurately when you get started with us. Don’t rush or gloss over  this. Whatever is skipped we will have to get in touch with you to obtain the information. This will only slow the process down. If you have any questions about getting started please contact us.

6. How can I cancel my account?

While we hope you don’t, we understand that things change. Please let us know with an email to support@ifoundagent.com to let us know that you wish to cancel and let us know your time frame.

7. What do you warrant?

IFoundAgent and Pro-Found Marketing, LLC does not warrant that (i) your website will provide you with leads; (ii) there will be 100% uptime with your website – there are unforeseen problems with the Internet (hackers, server issues, technology issues etc.) that can render any service hosting provider offline; (iii) your website will be editorially correct – it is your responsibility to ensure your website says what you want it to say.

8. Decorum

We expect to be treated in a respectful professional manner the same as you would. Abusive and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. We work hard to handle your requests that are in the scope of our client support. We may not always be able to serve you at the exact time that you request it.  We have a policy to complete all tickets within a 24 hour period. If we feel that you are not respecting our staff you will be given a warning. On the second incident your account will be terminated. If you want your WordPress theme, a $250 transfer fee will be due up front prior to release.
